We offer our customers in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai,
Calcutta, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune the power to carry out banking activities using
PhoneBanking, round the clock, everyday. You can use PhoneBanking to get up-to-date details of your Savings or Current Accounts and your Fixed Deposits. You can have the details of the last five transactions read out to you at the touch of a button. What's more, you can even have a mini account statement faxed to you, or request for a statement of accounts for a specific period to be mailed to you. Cheque Book/ Account Statement Requests You can register a request for a new chequebook using PhoneBanking. These will be sent by courier to the address on our records. Stop Payment Requests If you want to stop payment of a cheque, all you have to do is call us, 24 hours a day. Fixed Deposits (Service available in Mumbai and Delhi only) We offer you the option to open a Fixed Deposit over the phone, by simply authorising a transfer of funds from your Savings Account. The deposits can be opened in the names of the account holders in the funding account. You may also book the Fixed Deposit in your single name and maintain a sweep-in facility. PhoneBanking also enables you to request details of your Fixed Deposit, or Tax Deducted at Source, if any. Reporting of Lost ATM Card If ever you lose your ATM Card, you needn't wait till the bank opens to record it. If you call us during PhoneBanking hours, our representative will immediately hotlist your card. If you call after PhoneBanking hours, your report will be registered, and your card will be hotlisted within an hour of opening on the next working day. Demand Drafts (Service available in Mumbai and Delhi only) You can now place a request for a Demand Draft or Manager's Cheque worth up to Rs. 50,000 per Customer ID per day, on the phone. For HDFC Prefered clients the limit is Rs. 100,000 per day. The draft or cheque will be sent to the address on our records by courier on the next working day. Fund Transfers (Service available in Mumbai and Delhi only) If you hold multiple accounts with us, all you have to do is call in to transfer funds between accounts. There is no fund transfer limit. Talk to a PhoneBanker You can talk to a PhoneBanker to change your address, and other contact details over the phone. Cheque Status Inquiries You can use PhoneBanking to check on the status of a cheque. USING PhoneBanking When you dial in to PhoneBanking, a voice prompt will guide you through your transactions.
